We aim to ensure that PVE students are given opportunities in a safe learning environment to build the foundational skills they need to help them become college or career ready.

Pleasant Valley Elementary School prepares all students to achieve college, career and life readiness through an innovative and rigorous educational experience.

Beliefs: Student Success

• We believe that professional development, teacher collaboration, and intentional planning will help us to attain maximum achievement for our students and school.

Safety and Belonging

• We believe in the "walk to with" rather than doing "to" or "for" students.  While a consequence may be necessary, we feel that change is possible through practice.  Students and staff will work together to repair harm.
• We believe that social skills need to be explicitly taught and modeled for students using CHAMPS, Second Step, and Restorative Practices.
• We believe in giving positive feedback to students by using affective statements.

Family and Community Collaboration

• We believe in building relational capacity with parents, students, and families.  All stakeholders are responsible for student success.
